Three college students from Noida stole a car to take one of their girlfriends for a drive. Instead of simply borrowing a vehicle, the group decided to lift a brand-new car from a showroom in Greater Noida. Although this incident occurred last month, new information has come to light.

The students involved in the car theft were identified as Shrey, Aniket Nagar, and Deepanshu Bhati. The police have not specified which two were assisting their friend.

On September 26, two individuals requested a test drive of a Hyundai Venue at a car bazaar in Greater Noida. Dressed in helmets, they positioned themselves by the exit gate while the car dealer, who was behind the wheel, moved the car out of the lot. Once the dealer exited the vehicle, one of the men took over the driver’s seat, while the other got in the back, and they drove away, as captured on video.

According to the police, they later forcibly removed the dealer from the car and sped off. Authorities reviewed footage from over 100 CCTV cameras and employed manual intelligence to identify the suspects. The police recovered the car, which had tinted windows and the name ‘Nagar’ inscribed on it. The three individuals have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
