Pune: A helicopter crash at Bavdhan in Pune claimed the lives of three individuals shortly after it took off this morning.
The aircraft was operated by an aviation company from Delhi, according to initial reports. The deceased have been identified as pilots Girish Kumar Pillai and Paramjit Singh, along with engineer Pritamchand Bharadwaj.
Authorities in Pune’s Pimpri Chinchwad reported that the helicopter went down in a hilly region shortly after departure. Shashikant Mahavarkar, the Joint Commissioner of Police for Pimpri Chinchwad, stated that the helicopter departed from the Oxford Golf Club at 7:30 am and crashed within five minutes.
Police noted that poor visibility due to dense fog might have contributed to the accident. A rescue operation is currently in progress. Images from the scene revealed significant wreckage and intense flames.
