TUMAKURU: In a distressing incident, a family had to carry the body of an Older man on a motorcycle, reportedly due to the unavailability of an ambulance.

This event has sparked considerable outrage in the deceased’s home village. Honnurappa, 80, from Dalavahi village in Pavagada taluk, had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues at the community health centre in Y N Hosakote, where he ultimately passed away.

Unable to secure an ambulance promptly, the family resorted to using a motorcycle to take the body home for the final rites. However, a video shows an ambulance parked at the community health centre at the time.
