BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested a couple involved in a sophisticated prostitution operation in the city.
The detained individuals, who had assumed the aliases Prakash Rakesh and Parijata Puja, lived in Pattengerepalya and trafficked women to affluent clients and businessmen in Bengaluru and Pondicherry. They attracted impoverished women from North Karnataka with misleading job offers and forcibly led them into prostitution.
Following a tip-off, the CCB rescued four women and captured the couple. They organized extravagant parties and events at resorts, served alcohol, and charged their clients between Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 each.
