Mumbai: Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest icons, has once again found himself under the shadow of a grave threat. The latest warning, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demands ₹5 crore from the actor to end a longstanding enmity. The threatening message, sent via WhatsApp to the Mumbai Traffic Police, carries a chilling warning: if Khan refuses to pay, his fate would be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered, allegedly at the hands of the Bishnoi gang.

The message explicitly stated:
“Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wishes to live and put an end to this enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. Otherwise, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddique’s.”

Police sources have confirmed that the origins of the threat are being actively investigated, and security around Khan’s Bandra residence has been intensified. The actor has been on high alert for months following previous threats, and the fresh warning has only heightened concerns for his safety.

In a recent breakthrough, Navi Mumbai police arrested a key member of the Bishnoi gang—Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh—in Panipat, Haryana. Singh was allegedly involved in planning an assassination attempt on Salman Khan, working under instructions from his handler, Dogar, based in Pakistan. According to reports, the gang intended to use powerful weapons like AK-47s, M16s, and AK-92s, smuggled from Pakistan, to carry out the attack.

Singh’s arrest marks significant progress in the ongoing investigation. Earlier this year, police registered an FIR against 18 gang members for conspiring to assassinate the actor. In a shocking earlier incident, shots were fired outside Khan’s Bandra home, further escalating security concerns.

The Mumbai Police continue to monitor the situation closely, with efforts underway to dismantle the Bishnoi gang’s operations and ensure the actor’s safety.
