Bengaluru: In a tragic accident early Thursday morning, two men lost their lives when the electric scooter they were riding crashed into a road divider near the Devinagar bus stop on Outer Ring Road. The incident occurred while they were traveling from BEL Circle towards Hebbal.

The Hebbal traffic police, who rushed to the scene, transported the victims to Baptist Hospital, where post-mortem examinations were conducted. While the identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, investigators found a sharp object tucked into the waist of one of the men, raising suspicions about possible criminal involvement.

According to police sources, preliminary investigations suggest that the two might have been involved in robberies, using the knife to threaten victims. Officers also suspect that the accident may have occurred due to intoxicated driving, as both individuals are believed to have consumed alcohol before losing control of the scooter.

The Hebbal traffic police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into the incident, looking into both the circumstances surrounding the crash and any potential criminal activities.
