Jaipur: Are these thieves showing remorse? In an unusual incident in Bikaner’s Napasar town, authorities discovered an abandoned Scorpio vehicle missing its license plate. The investigation took a turn when three handwritten notes were found, aiding police in locating the car’s original owner in Palam Colony, Delhi.

Two notes were affixed to the back window, one stating, “This car has been stolen from Delhi’s Palam. Sorry.” It included the vehicle registration number “DL 9 CA Z2937,” which proved instrumental in identifying the rightful owner.
Another note nearby declared: “I love my India.”

The third note, placed on the windscreen, urged: “This car has been stolen from Delhi. Please contact the police and inform them. Urgent.”

A local resident spotted the vehicle parked near a roadside hotel along the Jaipur-Bikaner Highway and reported it to the police on Sunday, officials said. Authorities used the registration number to trace it back to a resident of Palam Colony in Delhi, who had lodged a police report on October 10. Bikaner is situated over 450 kilometers from Delhi, and police suspect the car may have been involved in criminal activity before being abandoned.

“A team from the Delhi police has arrived in Bikaner with the vehicle’s owner, Vinay Kumar. We are transferring the vehicle to the Delhi police,” stated Jasveer Singh, inspector of the Napasar Police Station.
