The manufacturer based in Chakan reported total automotive sales of 87,839 units for September 2024. Mahindra has been experiencing consistent growth, which continued through last month, boasting an overall increase of 24 percent compared to the same month in the previous year.
The company sold 52,590 passenger vehicles, which include exports to various regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and select left-hand drive markets in Latin America. Domestic sales for commercial vehicles reached 23,706 units.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., stated, “We sold 51,062 SUVs in September, reflecting a 24% increase, and totaled 87,839 vehicles overall, with a growth of 16%. This month, we launched the all-new VEERO in the LCV under 3.5 tons, built on India’s first multi-energy modular CV platform. As we approach the Navratri festivities, we will commence bookings for the highly-anticipated Thar RoXX on October 3rd.”
Cumulatively, domestic sales of passenger vehicles for 2024 amount to 260,210 units, a 21 percent increase from 214,914 units in the previous year. Exports rose by 25 percent in September; however, the overall annual increase is just 3 percent. Mahindra is poised to start deliveries of the Thar Roxx, with bookings opening on October 3rd and deliveries commencing on Dussehra.
