Haryana: The Congress party is projected to secure a significant win in Haryana, a state governed by the BJP for the last decade, according to four exit polls.
While exit polls are not always accurate and have been wrong in the past, such as during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, current predictions show a major shift in favor of Congress.
The Dainik Bhaskar exit poll forecasts Congress winning 44-54 seats in the 90-member state assembly, a sharp increase from the 31 seats it secured in the previous election. The BJP, which held 40 seats in 2019, is expected to see a dramatic drop, winning just 15-29 seats.
These projections are a setback for the BJP, which had dismissed claims of anti-incumbency. The Congress, in contrast, had labeled the BJP’s governance as a “decade of pain.”
According to Dhruv Research, Congress could win 50-60 seats, comfortably crossing the majority mark of 46, while the BJP is predicted to secure 22-32 seats.
Similarly, Peoples Pulse estimates Congress will win 49-61 seats, with the BJP limited to 20-32 seats.
In another poll, Republic Bharat-Matrize predicts Congress will clinch 55-62 seats, leaving the BJP with just 18-24 seats.
