New Delhi — A disturbing domestic incident unfolded in north Delhi, where a man accused his wife of cutting off his genitals after an argument escalated on the night of October 31, police reported on Saturday.
The victim, whose identity has been withheld, was taken to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital with serious injuries and later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital. Doctors have stated that his condition is stable and out of immediate danger.
According to authorities, a distress call was received at the Roop Nagar police station around midnight, leading them to the scene. The man, originally from Bihar, had recently relocated to Delhi with his wife and works as a helper at a Paying Guest accommodation in Shakti Nagar.
In his statement to the police, the man revealed that he had been drinking that evening, leading to an argument with his wife. Following the altercation, the woman reportedly left the residence. However, she allegedly returned later, attacking him with a sharp object before fleeing the scene.
This is the third marriage for both individuals, according to the investigating officer.
