Destruction of evil and safeguarding the virtuous are the key themes of Dasara, according to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

In Mysuru, CM Siddaramaiah shared Dasara wishes with the state’s residents, highlighting that the festival represents the defeat of malevolence and the protection of righteousness.

During a media briefing at Suttur Math in Mysuru on Saturday, he stated, “Vijayadashami signifies the end of the Dasara festivities, culminating with the grand Jamboo Savari procession. On this holy occasion, I offer my greetings to both the state and the nation. This year has seen favorable rainfall and bountiful harvests, bringing happiness to our farmers.”

He also expressed, “It is encouraging to see our reservoirs filled to capacity. Dasara symbolizes the eradication of evil and the safeguarding of the virtuous. I pray that those scheming to sow discord and disrupt lives find enlightenment from the Divine.”

Prior to engaging in the religious and cultural events of Mysuru Dasara’s Vijayadashami, CM Siddaramaiah prayed at Suttur Math and received blessings from Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.
