A shocking incident of harassment on Bengaluru’s Marathahalli Bridge service road has raised serious concerns about women’s safety. A woman, who was waiting alone in her car, experienced a frightening encounter when a seemingly intoxicated man attempted to break into her vehicle.
The man tried to open all four doors and, when unsuccessful, began banging on the window, trying to break it. The quick-thinking woman recorded the incident on her phone and immediately drove away to escape the situation.
She later shared the video on social media, urging others to always lock their car doors and trust their instincts when feeling unsafe. The video, shared by Karnataka Portfolio on X, highlights the importance of staying vigilant. In the caption, the woman explained how the man approached her car, attempted to force entry, and how she managed to escape by quickly driving off.
The video has gone viral, sparking outrage on social media. Many users condemned the man’s actions and called for his arrest. Some even suggested that Bengaluru Police use facial recognition technology to locate and apprehend the individual. The Bengaluru Police, in response, assured the public that they are investigating the incident and will take appropriate legal action. They later confirmed, “We have attended to this issue as per law.”
