New Delhi: A school teacher has been arrested on charges of sexual assault after another educator discovered he had been inappropriately touching female students in Classes 1 to 3 without their awareness. This incident took place at a primary school in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

A significant number of parents, accompanied by their village leader, gathered outside a police station demanding action against the teacher. According to village head Roop Singh, another teacher had explained the concepts of ‘good touch and bad touch’ to the students. During this discussion, the children indicated that their other teacher had frequently engaged in what they described as ‘bad touch’.

Upon hearing this, the alarmed teacher recognized the situation. The accused had allegedly been sexually assaulting the girls for an extended period. The ‘good touch, bad touch’ lesson is introduced in many schools to help children identify inappropriate behavior.

A large group, including students, assembled outside the police station in Talbehat, Lalitpur, calling for immediate action. Villagers claimed that school and education officials attempted to suppress the issue. In response to the protests, police filed charges against the teacher and took him into custody. Protesters criticized education authorities for their lack of immediate action against the accused. Police stated they are currently interrogating the teacher.
