Actor Govinda was admitted to the hospital this morning after sustaining a bullet wound to his leg at his residence, according to Mumbai Police. Fortunately, he is reportedly out of danger and doing well, as stated by his manager. The incident occurred around 4:45 am due to an accidental discharge from his licensed revolver.
The 60-year-old actor, who is also involved in Shiv Sena politics, was home alone in Juhu while his wife, Sunita Ahuja, was in Kolkata. Police indicated that he has not filed any complaint regarding the incident. Govinda was quickly taken to Criticare Hospital nearby and was discharged after receiving treatment.
His manager shared, “We had a flight at 6 am for a show in Kolkata, and I had already reached the airport. Govinda ji was just about to leave for the airport when this accident took place.” He explained that the revolver accidentally fell out of the cupboard and discharged, adding, “It’s a blessing that Govinda ji only suffered a leg injury and it wasn’t anything more serious.”
