TEL AVIV: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced on Friday that they had eliminated Mahmoud Yusef Anisi, a high-ranking member of Hezbollah’s precision-guided missile production network in Lebanon. The IDF described Anisi as a vital source of knowledge with extensive technological skills.
In a statement on X, the IDF noted, “Mahmoud Yusef Anisi, a senior figure in Hezbollah’s missile manufacturing program, has been affiliated with the group for over 15 years and played a leading role in their precision-guided missile efforts. He was a crucial resource in weapons technology. The IDF will persist in countering the threats posed by Hezbollah.”
Additionally, the IDF reported the successful rescue of a woman held captive by a Hamas terrorist linked to ISIS, who has since been reunited with her family in Iraq. The operation was conducted in collaboration with COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) and the United States.
In their post on X, the IDF stated, “After more than ten years in captivity in Gaza, a 21-year-old Yazidi woman, held by a Hamas terrorist connected to ISIS, has been rescued and returned to her family in Iraq. The operation, led by COGAT with coordination from the US Embassy in Jerusalem, freed Fawzia Amin Sido, who was trafficked by ISIS at the age of 11 and held by a Hamas terrorist who was likely killed in IDF strikes. She was found in a hideout during a covert mission at Kerem Shalom Crossing. This operation underscores the link between Hamas and ISIS, shedding light on the humanitarian crimes committed by the terrorist group in Gaza. We are committed to dismantling the Hamas-ISIS terrorist network and securing the release of all hostages held by Hamas.”
Earlier, the IDF confirmed the elimination of terrorist Aziz Salha, who was involved in the Ramallah lynching of October 2000.
In a statement on X, they said, “We have eliminated Aziz Salha, who participated in the Ramallah lynching in October 2000, in the Deir El Balah area of central Gaza. Salha played a role in the brutal lynching of Sergeant First Class (Res.) Yosef Avrahami and Corporal (Res.) Vadim Norzhich in Ramallah. He was photographed with blood on his hands, waving from a window after the incident. Salha continued his terrorist activities in Judea and Samaria and remained involved in Hamas-related terrorism.”
