Bengaluru, India — Britain’s King Charles and Queen Camilla recently completed a three-day private retreat in Bengaluru, focusing on wellness and holistic health treatments at the SOUKYA International Holistic Centre, sources confirmed on Wednesday. Known for its integrative approach, the center provided the royal couple with a blend of Ayurvedic, naturopathic, and meditative therapies.
During their stay, King Charles and Queen Camilla followed a special wellness routine, starting each day with yoga sessions and adhering to a custom diet plan. According to an official from the center, the couple underwent rejuvenative treatments, including meditation and therapeutic sessions tailored for relaxation and healing.
The couple also took time to enjoy the serene 30-acre campus, taking long walks and visiting an organic farm on-site. “They spent their mornings engaged in yoga and enjoyed the peaceful environment here,” said the official. “Their visit included a regimen of wellness practices they’ve embraced on previous visits.”
This is not King Charles’ first visit to SOUKYA. He marked his 71st birthday at the facility in 2019, a testament to his longstanding interest in Ayurveda. His support for traditional health practices has spanned years, highlighted by his participation in the launch of an Ayurvedic Centre of Excellence in London with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018, aimed at fostering research in yoga and Ayurveda.
King Charles and Queen Camilla departed Bengaluru on Wednesday morning, concluding their brief but serene stay.
