A viral video on social media shows the child requesting a tastier meal at his Anganwadi center, asking for biryani and chicken fry instead of upma. The video garnered massive attention across platforms like Instagram and Facebook, eventually catching the minister’s attention. In response, the minister assured that the government would take steps to review and update the food menu at Anganwadis.
The boy, Shanku, innocently expressed his desire for a more flavorful lunch at his Anganwadi. The video, shared on social media on January 30, quickly gained millions of views. The minister responded, assuring that action would be taken to ensure a more appealing and nutritious meal plan for the children.
The Kerala government has been actively working to provide nutritious food to children through Anganwadis. As part of the initiative, meals such as eggs and milk are provided to enhance the children’s diet and health.
