New Delhi: Ratan Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group, has passed away at the age of 86, according to a statement released by the Tata Group on Wednesday. The announcement has sparked a wave of heartfelt tributes and memories shared by business leaders, politicians, and influential personalities.
“Legends like him are eternal,” stated Gautam Adani, chairman of Adani Group, on X.
“India has lost a remarkable figure and a visionary who reshaped modern India’s journey. Ratan Tata was not just a leader in business; he represented the spirit of India through his integrity, compassion, and dedication to the welfare of the community. Legends like him are eternal,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep sorrow at Ratan Tata’s passing, who served as chairman emeritus of Tata Sons.
“I have many cherished memories of my interactions with Shri Ratan Tata Ji. During my time as Chief Minister of Gujarat, we would frequently discuss various topics. His insights were always enriching. Those conversations continued when I moved to Delhi. I am deeply saddened by his loss, and my thoughts are with his family, friends, and admirers during this difficult time. Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.
