New Delhi: In a chilling incident captured on CCTV, two members of the Bambiha Gang, a rival group of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, opened fire at a Delhi businessman’s house in Rani Bagh on October 26. The suspects, identified as Bilal Ansari (22) and Shuheb (21), fired eight shots and left a note with “Bambiha Gang” written on it, demanding a ₹15 crore extortion payment.

CCTV footage reveals the gunmen arriving on a motorcycle and throwing the note into the residence before firing multiple rounds. The assailants also recorded the incident, with officials later tracing the video to the United States.

Following intelligence about a planned meeting with associates in the Kakrola area, Delhi Police’s Special Cell set up a stakeout on the night of October 28. Around 2:15 am, the suspects arrived but attempted to flee upon seeing police. In their escape attempt, they slipped, allowing police to surround them. One of the shooters opened fire on the officers, prompting a return shot in self-defense that injured one suspect in the leg.

Both shooters were subsequently arrested, bringing temporary relief to the targeted businessman and his family. Authorities are now investigating further gang activities and potential links to international associates.
