BENGALURU: Shortly after the arrest of a Pakistani man and his Bangladeshi wife, together with her parents, Jigani police have taken into custody three more individuals from Pakistan.

Among those arrested are two women and a man who were in contact with the previously apprehended couple. These latest arrests stemmed from information provided by Rashid Ali Siddiqui, the arrested Pakistani national, and his wife.

The police have established four teams to locate undocumented Pakistani nationals living in Bengaluru. Following the arrest of Rashid Ali and his spouse, authorities discovered that their primary aim was to spread Islam across the country through an organization called the Mehdi Foundation.

Religious materials were found on Rashid Ali’s electronic devices, which have been confiscated. Rashid Ali had entered India using a fraudulent passport and had been residing near Jigani since 2018, having moved to Bengaluru on the orders of a preacher named Younus Algor based in Nepal.
