Two Agniveers killed after shell explosion during training exercise in Nashik

NASHIK (Maharashtra): According to Indian Army officials, two Agniveers tragically died in an incident involving an artillery shell explosion during a firing exercise in Nashik district of Maharashtra on Friday.

The officials reported that the Agniveers, who were from Hyderabad, were undergoing training at the Artillery School in Deolali, Nashik. The Army has initiated a court of inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff, and all personnel honored the “supreme sacrifice of Bravehearts — Agniveer (Gunner) Gohil Vishvarajsinh and Agniveer (Gunner) Saikat, who lost their lives while fulfilling their duty” at the Devlali Field Firing Ranges in Maharashtra.
