The leaked media suggests that prisoners can access smartphones, make video calls, consume ganja (cannabis), and even take selfies within the jail premises—all reportedly in exchange for money.
Three inmates—Vishal, Sagar, and Sonu—accused in various criminal cases, have been identified leading a lavish lifestyle inside the prison. The footage shows them using smartphones to connect with friends and engaging in activities prohibited within the jail.
These revelations have raised serious concerns about inmate liberties and potential corruption among jail authorities. Questions are mounting about the enforcement of prison regulations and the integrity of those tasked with upholding them.
The scandal comes on the heels of the “royal hospitality” case involving Darshan at Parappana Agrahara jail. Following that incident, Darshan’s close aide, Nagaraj, was transferred to Kalaburagi jail. Now, there is growing speculation about whether he is receiving similar preferential treatment at Kalaburagi Central Jail.
