Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, renowned for his swashbuckling batting and two triple centuries in Test cricket, has found himself at the center of social media discussions following reports of a potential rift with his wife, Aarti.

Separation Rumors Surface
According to a report by newspaper, Sehwag and Aarti, who tied the knot in December 2004, have been living separately for months, with divorce reportedly being a possibility. The couple has two sons, Aryavir (born in 2007) and Vedant (born in 2010). As of now, neither Sehwag nor Aarti has commented on the rumors, leaving fans speculating.

Social media users have pointed out the absence of recent photos of the couple together on Sehwag’s social profiles. While he still has older pictures with Aarti, fans noted that Sehwag is not following her on Instagram, which remains private.

Sehwag’s Bond With His Son Aryavir
Despite the reports of personal turmoil, Sehwag recently made headlines for a heartwarming post about his elder son Aryavir. Aryavir narrowly missed scoring a triple century, smashing 297 runs for Delhi against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy. The score was just 23 runs shy of Sehwag’s career-best 319, prompting the cricketer to recall an old promise.

“Well played Aaryavir. Missed a Ferrari by 23 runs. But well done, keep the fire alive and may you score many more daddy hundreds and doubles and triples,” Sehwag posted on X (formerly Twitter) in November 2024.

This post referenced an interview from 2015, where Sehwag had promised to gift his sons a Ferrari if they ever surpassed his highest Test score.

Fans Await Clarity
The news of a potential separation has left fans of the cricketing legend divided, with many expressing shock and others urging privacy for the family. As the situation unfolds, fans and followers eagerly await an official statement from Sehwag or Aarti.
